Pat Smith

Pat

Meet Pat, our veterinary technician. Pat is a native North Dakotan, who came to Montana after high school. She attended Northern Montana College at Havre, and also worked at Shambo Veterinary Hospital while attending school. She spent the summer months working as a horse wrangler at Many Glacier Lodge.
She later transferred to EWC in Torrington Wyoming and enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program. She graduated with an Associate Degree, and became a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) in 1998.

After working as an assistant to a physician, she challenged the National Exam for the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and was registered with them.

Pat has been at Skyline since 1986, and it is said she lives on the most populated 3 acres in Montana; at least it has the most feet (paw and hoof wise) per acre!!

Billie

Billie is a native Montanan. Her hobbies include hunting, shooting, fishing, hiking, riding horses, and spending time with her nephews. Being an employee since 1995, her job descriptions include (but are not specific to) office manager and certified veterinary technician. In addition to her AAS in Veterinary Technology, she also obtains certificates in Equine Massage Therapy and Bovine Artificial Insemination. Her animal family includes 2 cats, a dog, a snake, a miniature donkey, and a miniature horse. She is always up for a new adventure, especially when it comes to the outdoors.

Donna

Meet Donna. Donna was born in Germany. She graduated from Great Falls High School in 1997 and Eastern Wyoming College in 2001 with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology. Donna’s parents were in the Air Force so she moved a lot. She lived in Germany, North Dakota, Sicily, England, and finally Montana. Her hobbies include riding, reading, movies, music, cooking, and showing Cavelier King Charles Spaniels. She mainly enjoys working with small animals, but also likes working with horses. Donna can be seen frequently clearing the pool table in various leagues and tournaments.

Alisa

Alisa comes to Skyline from Cascade, where she graduated in 1998. She then completed training from the Professional Career Development Institute as an Animal Care Specialist in 2004. Her family includes two sons, Branden and Alexander; a Rottweiler named Carmen, beagles Odyssey and Melody and Crazy Eddie the cat.

Darolyn

Darolyn grew up on a farm in Northern Hampshire surrounded by the things she is most passionate about – animals – horses, cats, dogs, sheep, chickens and the occasional pig. Her first job was milking cows on a Holstein farm and by the time she took her first biology class she was hooked on animals husbandry.

At the age of 20 she moved to Fort Collins, Colorado. There she attended Colorado State University and earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Zoology.

Darolyn has worked as a veterinary technician on and off since 1990, interspersed with working for the US Forest Service and Montana, Fish Wildlife and Parks. However, she is always drawn back to the field of veterinary medicine – which is how she came to join the team at Skyline.

Her time away from work is spent with her husband and their growing herd of horses, cats and dogs, and backpacking, riding and exploring Montana’s mountains.

Leann

I grew up in Fort Benton, MT and graduated from Fort Benton High School in 2002. I went to Eastern Wyoming College and graduated with an Associate of Applied Science degree in 2004. I came back to Great Falls and worked for a few months before moving to Missoula, MT. I came back about a year ago as I missed my family and small town living. I moved back to Fort Benton with my 2-year old daughter and our 1-year old cat. I have always had a love for animals as I always made sure we had them at all times when I was growing up. This is a love that I have passed on to my daughter. I also have 2 dogs that have lived with my parents since college.
